The packaging industry is constantly evolving. Today more than ever, companies are aiming for solutions that combine efficiency, safety, and sustainability, without compromising the aesthetic quality of the packaged product. Among the various available technologies, flow-pack packaging machines represent one of the most widespread and versatile solutions for fast packaging of single or multiple products.
A flow-pack machine is an automatic system that wraps products in plastic film or heat-sealable material, creating sealed packages through three seals: two transverse and one longitudinal. Key features include:
Continuous packaging: products pass through the machine automatically without interruption.
Versatility: it can handle products of different sizes and shapes, from snacks and baked goods to chocolate bars and fresh products.
Product protection: the packaging film protects food from dust, moisture, and external contamination, increasing shelf life.
Types of Flow-Pack
Suitable for solid or soft products.
The product is placed horizontally and wrapped in film.
Ideal for snacks, biscuits, bars, and chocolate.
The product drops vertically into the film.
Ideal for granular or loose products such as rice, sugar, or coffee.
Advantages of Flow-Pack Machines
High production speed: some machines can package hundreds of products per minute.
Reduced labor costs: automation minimizes the need for manual intervention.
Packaging flexibility: allows single packs, multipacks, or customized formats.
Improved product presentation: transparent or printed film enhances shelf appeal.
The Concave Rotary Table: A Key Element for Optimizing Flow-Pack Packaging Lines
In the packaging world, efficiency and integration are essential to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted production line. Flow-pack machines are among the most reliable systems for packaging single or multiple products, offering speed and precision. However, to fully exploit their potential, it is crucial to complement them with high-quality auxiliary components—this is where rotary tables come into play.
Concave rotary tables are designed to integrate perfectly into packaging lines using flow-pack machines, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted workflow. Thanks to their modular structure and customization options, our tables can be integrated with any packaging machine.
The function of the rotary table is to collect and accumulate already packaged products at the exit of the packaging machine. In case of a short pause by the operator responsible for product collection, the rotary table retains the products, preventing blockages on the output conveyor and machine jams. The packaged products remain in the tray ready to be picked up.
The rotation and the special concave design of the disc allow optimal filling and product arrangement.
