Sealed Air Food Care launches the easy opening system

Sealed Air has applied a new easy opening to the vacuum bag range. Cryovac® to ensure greater convenience, safety and freshness. The Cryovac® Grip & Tear® Small Tab System has been designed to meet the needs of food businesses, food business operators and consumers.

The vacuum bag is equipped with a side tab that allows easy opening of the package with a single quick gesture. It is no longer necessary to use knives or scissors, thus increasing user safety.

The perfect thermo-retraction and transparency of the vacuum bag guarantee exceptional product visibility. The potential presence of creases and excessive sealing areas is reduced thanks to the thermo-retraction of the material, improving the appearance of the packaged product, attracting the attention of consumers and therefore facilitating the purchase.

The vacuum bag equipped with the Cryovac® Grip & Tear® Small Tab system is suitable for products of various shapes, such as small food portions and larger pack sizes, for example for poultry, fresh red meat, smoked and processed meat, as well as dairy products.

The exceptional robustness of the bag guarantees food producers the same shelf life advantages as vacuum shrink bags without easy opening.

The new format can help reduce packaging materials by up to 20% compared to other bags with easy opening.

The Cryovac® Grip & Tear® Small Tab System can be used in existing vacuum packaging systems, meaning it can be integrated quickly and easily.

The Small Tab is compatible with all semi-automatic and automatic Cryovac® bag loading systems, as well as with the Cryovac® VR and VS vacuum lines.
